In this age, when needs for higher productivity and man-power reduction are equally important for giant/medium sized production units, the requirement of an out-sourced tool room is increasing day by day.

A Production line consists of a number of different types of machines starting from Lathe, Milling, Gear Cutting/ Hobbing/Shaving Machines, Induction Hardness Machines, Different types of Grinding Machines and Assembly Lines. Bushing & Pin :

Bushes are made from EN 31/CW 1/ OHNS/ SAE 52100/ AISI 01 quality deep hardenable steel. Concentricity of Bush ID and OD is kept within 0.01 mm for smaller Bushes up to 10 mm ID, 0.02 mm for medium bushes up to 25 mm OD and within 0.03 mm for bushes over 35 mm ID. Bushes are hardened to 60-62 HRC. Entry Chamfer in OD and entry chamfer/radius in ID is given as per customers requirements.

Two way undercut in collar back face is given to ensure collar back face perpendicularity. Collar thickness can be controlled up to 0.01 mm as per customers’ requirements. Pins are made from Deep Hardenable / Case hardenable Steels depending on the nature of use. Where heavy machining stress is expected, case hardening variety is used and case depth is decided as per use. For both Deep hardening Steel and Case hardening Steels, Surface hardness is kept in the range of 60-62 HRC.

Special Vee Block & Hardened Pad:

Vee Blocks are made both in Soft and Hardened variety. Superior Surface finish, Proper grinding technique to achieve precision in 3-D geometry of Vee blocks are the hallmarks of Special Application Vee Blocks made by Tool Room Engineers LLP.

For soft V block, easily-replaceable hardened pads with critically maintained thickness are made. Hardened Pads are also available in a variety of shapes and sizes for different types of use. Hardened Blocks are reinforced blackened to provide anti-rust coating without distorting dimensions even in microns.

Locator & Housing :

Locating Pins are consumables used in manufacturing-fixtures and inspection-fixtures. Concentricity of work-piece-locating diameter and fixture-locating diameter is maintained within 10 microns. Locating pins with a bigger collar diameter with a closely controlled thickness (used for job resting) are also available.

Housings are useful holding devices of work-piece in the machine work-head where faster holding of work-piece by clamping is required to reduce cycle time. Housings are made form finest grade of Case Hardenable Alloy Steel so that maximum surface hardness is achieved and a tougher core to withstand heavy machining stress. In Normal Housings Outside Diameter/Inside Diameter of the work-piece is located with a locating Bore/OD in the Housing made with minimum possible clearance(H7-h6 fitting).

The Other side of the Housing is fitted in the Machine Work-head housing. The concentricity of machine locating diameter and work-piece locating diameter is maintained within 5 to 10 microns. In Special Housings, PCD Holes/Splines are used for Job Location.
